Adds advanced gun turret which has 1200 hit points and 34 range but costs some steel and concrete to make. It's a very simple upgrade that doesn't make gun turrets any more powerful, but simply enables them to remain competitive in the later game when you have more advanced turrets with more hit points and range.
My thinking behind this is that in the late game, gun turret damage is very competitive, and their primary difficulty is how easily they are destroyed. Their range being barely longer than spitters aggravates this further. With a range and hit point bonus, their damage has a chance to shine without you constantly losing and replacing turrets.
I have increased the range of this turret to make more sense within the progression curve with my Turret Range Buff mod also installed. I recommend using both mods together.
0.1.6 The previous version does not work. 0.1.6 has been tested briefly and seems to work.
0.1.5 Upgrade to Factorio v1.1. No changes. It should work, but I don't play on 1.1 so I cannot verify. Edit: I have received a report that it does not.
0.1.4 Upgrade to Factorio v1.0. The Advanced Gun Turret now properly receives projectile damage research even if installed later.
- Increased hit points, range, recipe cost, and technology cost. Recipe now uses concrete instead of advanced circuits.
0.1.3 AGT now gains bonus from gun turret damage research, but only if it is researched while the mod is installed.
0.1.2 The mod works but the advanced gun turret does not gain a bonus from gun turret damage upgrade research.
0.1.0 This mod is still under construction and not currently functional.
