Why not implement the same feature for copper cables too?

Yeah, the thing is with copper cables, you have to connect all the poles by yourself if you don't have access to construction robots in early game. Originally, the copper cables are included in the pole recipes so you don't loose them or get them for free.
Edit: Only the small electric pole uses copper cables

When you turn on the feature to do this for copper cables too does that mean poles no longer need copper cables to produce?

Since only the wooden power pole needs copper cables and the others not, I decided not to change the recipe.
I would explain this that somehow the consumers need an underground connection to the pole.
