It seems like the mod doesn't work anymore. I think it may have stopped working a couple of patches ago, but I can confirm that it doesn't load in 0.17.52.

So I knew this was broken for a while and last night I finally made an attempt to figure out what was up with it, while I didn't make any progress at the time, this morning I asked someone for help in the Factorio discord and we managed to patch it to work in 0.17.79 again.
