Hi, I noticed that if you place some inserters behind the flares the base is not visible while the arm is. This also happens with the screens of the nixie tubes mod https://mods.factorio.com/mod/nixie-tubes.
With the other entities it seems to be all right. Anyway great idea for the mod.
