Rn you can only click on found objects one by one for them to get highlighted on the map with a green square. There're several scenarios in the game where you wanna see all the things you're looking for so that you can make a choice based on how frequent the placement of that thing is in a given area.

For example, seeing all places that produce iron plates so you can then place your iron gear factory closer to where most iron plates productions are. Or when searching for a new ore patch to mine - you'd obviously want a patch that has other same patches nearby.

Game's native search does this when you search for something but it obviously lacks FS' customizability and gets really cluttery when you need a precise searches.

P.S. Also it would be cool to have game native search's screen dimming feature (at least as a toggleable option), as things are much more readable with it.
