Factory Search

Search your factory for items, fluids, entities, signals, tags and more with Shift + F. Displays a list of matching buildings: clicking on a result opens it in the map. Supports Space Exploration (works across all surfaces). Control + Shift + Click on almost anything (e.g. built entity, inventory item, recipe) to open the search with that item selected. Similar to BeastFinder and Where is it Made?

i [Completed-1.6.0] Search for markers

You are astonishing cool! TY for your mod!

Please add marker search, because using resource marker mod without global search it is pain after your mod

Thanks for the suggestion, it is definitely planned, although it will only search by icon, not by name (at least in its first iteration).

This will be great! Resource marker mod generates automatically markers above resources and, when resource need to mine player start looong search for markers with iron-ore icon (for example). Again and again, this is so frustrating...

Done in v1.6.0
Enjoy :)

I check only "Tag", and when I choose iron ore for square I got this:
Error while running event FactorySearch::on_gui_elem_changed (ID 69)
FactorySearch/scripts/search.lua:248: attempt to call field 'find_chart_tags' (a nil value)
stack traceback:
FactorySearch/scripts/search.lua:248: in function 'find_machines'
FactorySearch/scripts/ui.lua:575: in function 'start_search'
FactorySearch/scripts/ui.lua:602: in function <FactorySearch/scripts/ui.lua:595>

Thanks for reporting - I have no idea what's going on with that but I've attempted a fix in 1.6.1. I can't reproduce the crash so no idea if it actually worked.

Thank you! Evening I will see what is goin on before upgrade

I realise now what is going on and 1.6.1 definitely fixes it. The crash only occurred when searching through multiple surfaces :)

Worked like a charm! TY
