Factory Search

Search your factory for items, fluids, entities, signals, tags and more with Shift + F. Displays a list of matching buildings: clicking on a result opens it in the map. Can search all planets/surfaces (Space Age, Space Exploration, etc). Alt + Shift + Click on anything (e.g. built entity, inventory item, recipe) to open the search with that item selected. b [Completed-1.9.1] Factorissimo Drill Down

When the production building is in a factorissimo2 or space factorissimo factory you cannot go directly to it via click.

Doing some digging it appears to be an issue with Space Explorations remote view function or what not. It cannot handle those surfaces... Is it possible to find the location of the factory (factorissimo building) and zoom to there? Seems like it would be a lot of work but has a big pay off for me.

Well the game has no support for opening a map on a surface other than your own, so I don't see how this would be possible unfortunately. I'd need to reimplement something like SE's navigation satellite which is very complicated and fairly hacky, so I'm not really interested in doing that.

Sorry :(

I can understand that, think Ill take it up with SE and see if they have any interest in supporting factorissimo, still love this mod!

Hello again. Just letting people know that the developer of https://mods.factorio.com/mod/factorissimo-2-notnotmelon has agreed to add a ‘remote interface’ (basically compatibility code) that will allow me to zoom to the outside-world location of the factorissimo factory when you click a result that is inside the factory. Still no cross-surface map viewing, but this should at least be an improvement :)

I’ll post again when it is actually implemented on both ends. No changes can be made for the original Factorissimo2 unless the developer resumes updates on it.

This is now added in 1.9.1, so you'll be able to use it if you are using the notnotmelon fork of Factorissimo2.

The fork has totally overtaken the original. At this point it may as well be Factorissimo 3.
