(updated 2 years ago)

hi have a problem and hope of a fix from modder for this mod.
It's about the factory building, unfortunately the problems, especially as a client, make a server that has more power than you have as a client.

But your mod idea is not bad we look forward to a fix for this problem.

Short summary of what he is complaining about:
His friend built ~120 factory buildings. All are "small" factories fed by lot of belts.
His computer can't keep up with that in multiplayer so he gets lagspikes.
Time usage shows most of the update time is spent in "Electric Network" second most is Factorissimo2 - everything else looks normal.
He was already pointed to the "UPS" Faq section in your mod discription. Not sure he read it...
The save game above is 1,6GB because it has 135 mods in it...

I've read it, but it's not my fault because my playmate uses the network system with the factory buildings of this mod. I don't need something like that, although it is well thought out for people who want to compress their base and save space.
In my opinion there is enough space in the world.
However, there are problems, not all players will stick to it because some of them don't read it through.
The players want the mods to work without the lowest computer being the first and the others who are stronger will eventually begin to bend their knees.

@MagmaMcFry u have read this?

Yes, I've read this, I'm aware of the issues and I do plan to write a new version of a mod eventually that addresses all remaining performance problems. You'll just need to be patient for a while because the pandemic has sapped all my motivation. In the meantime, the FAQ section still contains advice on how to improve the UPS of your friend's base.

Hello Xiantrius

there is a github pull request that fixes your issue
https://github.com/MagmaMcFry/Factorissimo2/pull/69

you can use this to fix your performance problems

I incorporated the changes made by this pull request with my copy of Factorissimo2 and I love it. I can't imagine using this mod without it now.
