Seeing as how this functionality is now included in the base game in the form of factoriopedia, this mod might just be depricated.

Also another thing i just found from that page: hold alt and click on nearly anythin, in an inventory or the world. it opens the factoriopedia page for that item.

Honestly it'd be a shame if the mod was to become deprecated.
I find FNEI much more practical and quicker to use than the factoriopedia when it comes to check what items are used for, and each machine's production speeds. I really hope the mod creator updates it eventually.

I find the functionality of FNEI to be better than Wube's own Factoriopedia - the interface is clearer and more logical. I would definitely use a 2.x version of FNEI.

+1 Love this mod. Wube's version has arbitrary rule sets - like have you researched something, etc. FNEI showed everything in the game (and sometimes extra stuff too).

+1 Especially for Py, this is still a must have. Wube's pedia doesn't do the trick.

I am considering reviving Recipe Book with an FNEI-style interface since Factoriopedia does not work very well at scale. Would anybody be interested in this?

If the revival version works in a similar way to FNEI then yes, I would be interested. The left-clicking and right-clicking of FNEI is burned into my muscle memory now - I really miss it! :-)

Thanks for the update! I've installed it on Factorio v2.0.13. I don't have Space Age yet. It seems to be working fine, it's nice to have the left-click/right-click searching back again! I'll post details if I see any bugs.

Hey raiguard, I miss Recipe Book more than anything, mostly because of the shift+click recipe blueprint easy creation, please make it come back, it's better than Factoriopedia right now IMO.

Works fine at a new game, when i load a savegame i get this error:

FNEI/utils/translate.lua:69: attempt to index local 'ids' (a nil value)
stack traceback:

FNEI/utils/translate.lua:49: in function 'init_translate'

German, but happens too when i changed to english.
Have open the issue in Github for save etc..

Why not would like that to have a Fnei UI as the normal Recipe Book 1.1 was way to complicated for me.
