Any chance you could bring back the old maintenance mode?
Currently it is wrecking any rail in front, making it useless on curves.

I seem to remember it driving along track and placing only signals and poles as needed and not touching the rail itself.

Oh yeah, i'll add it to the issues, so i don't forget it again and again

yeah, currently maintenance mode totally disregards the existing track. I thought I'd lay down one track manually then use the maintenance mode to lay down the second return track along with signals and poles as I'm driving on the existing track. no joy there sadly.

and trying to drive it manually to follow the existing track causes more of a headache then anything else.
