generally the mod works fine in 0.18.36, somehow your mod settings file got corrupted (before the mod was added) and now with that particular setting file it won't start if there is another mod (which has settings) present.
as you also wrote it works fine with a cleared settings file, there is nothing to correct here - the discussion on the corruption root cause is in the forum thread continuing.
