Hello. I have an idea what could cause this, but would like some more info.

Have you changed which enemies can be spawned at all? Specifically, adding demolishers?

Do your enemies have to travel a very long way before getting killed?

Did you notice any group of enemies standing idle for a long time before getting this error?

Actually, idle groups and travel time would have nothing to do with this... basically an enemy group went invalid in between being created and being sent to attack, which should only take a few game ticks. It's never happened in my testing.

I can avoid the crash simply by checking if the group is valid or not before issuing the command to attack. But that wouldn't fix the underlying cause, and might lead to orphaned bugs idling around the map.

No, it was the second spawn after i installed the mod. First took a wile, i have a big base already.

Very interesting. If you turn on debug messages, it'll probably give some insight into what's happening. I expect most of your enemy groups are going invalid and then failing to attack because of the check I added to avoid the crash.

If you want to send me a save file, I can look into it directly.

Well, you don't have the mod enabled in that save file, so that might be the reason 😅

After adding the mod to that file, I saw spawns start on Gleba during the first night after the 15 minute safety period. It did take a while for spawns to start on Nauvis, due to the size of the surface, but they eventually started. It took about an hour or 2 for me to see spawns on Nauvis.

Assuming you did actually have the mod enabled, and just sent me a save file from before that point, I can only assume that the spawns were happening but you just never noticed them because your defenses take only a few ticks to wipe out any spawned groups. The enemies don't even get to move. I'm pretty sure this is the cause of the crash from before, too. The entire group was dead before it even got an order to attack!
