Yeah I just meant being fast replaceable with the 2x2 from larger display panels as well, but it's fine if it isn't. Just the vanilla one would be nice in case someone would want to swap their old setups/blueprints around to using yours instead. Or is that only for setting upgrade paths? (eg like going from yellow to red belt) I'm not sure.

Ah ok, they need to share the same fast_replaceable_group value. Which at the moment with the 1.6.1 update, I am just modifying the vanilla display panel to share the same value as the plates, which is safe since the vanilla panel doesn't have this value set. The Larger Display Panels mod doesn't give their panels this value either.

I could if you think it would be useful, make it so the Larger Display Panels' 2x2 shares the same value if the mod is installed. So you can then quickly replace their 2x2 with a 2x2 Display Plate.

I'm not 100% sure of the etiquette around a mod modifying another mod though, which is funny to say since I do have another mod that only has the goal of modifying another mod.

That being said, 1.6.1 of this mod does include what you want. You can quickly place over an existing display panel with a 1x1 or a 3x3 and it will keep the same settings. As for the upgrade planner, no, that is a different system from what I can tell.

Ah right. I was more just curious to see if it was possible to update blueprints by using an upgrade planner to swap the display panels to their respective size of your display plates, which is really just a small qol to quickly convert all your blueprints over. But I also realize that you'd lose out on previous configurations when upgrading to the new version anyway, so there's really no point, except for people who discover this mod in the future and want to convert blueprints. It's up to you if you want to add this, as I'm fine without it.

Correct, if that's even possible. Although there are two kinds of upgradeability I know of. One where you can directly set the upgrade by dragging the upgrade selection box around entities, and the other where it only allows this behaviour if directly set as a filter on the planner. I think it would be nice maybe using the filter only mode? See this video for what I mean.

I assumed both upgrade options did the same thing. Maybe my 1000+ hours into this game isn't enough.

As for you being able to replace the 2x2. It MIGHT be because I made it update the vanilla display panel, which the Larger Display Panel eventually copies. Interesting. Well I will leave that as is.

Actually a side effect of Larger Display Panels copying the modification I make to the vanilla panel is that the Giant Panel is also replaceable with the 2x2.
