Yeah, a couple of people ran into this one already. It is possible to reproduce even without the blueprints. The problem is that when you place down the electric pole down, initially its force belongs to the player, so it will only try to link up automatically to player's own powerpoles. So it won't link to the unapproved ghost force. And when it gets switched over it won't link automatically to its own force either (because only the force is changed, no code is triggered to try to connect it to another power pole of the same force).
This one is not currently high up on my list, though - gotta look at those crashes first. :) (and, again, I am not sure how easy/possible it will be to fix it with current two-force implementation).
