Looks like here is no standard mechanism of construction logic.
The companion drone is from spidertron prototype, rendering only "head" with classic equipment grid.
In the code is created a full stack of "special" construction drones at trunk position 21, then they are dispathed as invisible masked behind the laser beam.
When their work is done, they should be removed by mining them into trunk position 21 and then clearing whole stack
This worked fine in 1.1 but now in 2.0 there must be more than the new alert - also some logic preventing the bot to be marked as not busy and mined back
I have also noticed, when drone mines some entitiy, put it in trunk and ends stucked, it is capable to transfer the mined item into my inventory if I came nearby the drone.
Also notied, that disabling construction robots with shortcut will clean the robots and unstuck the drone
