I am trying to port this mod to version 2.0.
I have fixed all places causing to crash the game, but long way ahead

  • flame animation is flicking - FIXED
  • equipment grid is broken - when i remove equipment I cannot put it back - FIXED
  • sompething changet in robot logic - after action is performed - the electric beam stays fixed and robot stucks with mesage no free slot
  • did not test attacking features - I mainly play py mods without bitters

maybe i can publish fork in my repo with current changes so someone can help

@kubiixx Did you publish your changes anywhere? I am also looking into fixing the "Not enough roboports slots available" issue.

Looks like here is no standard mechanism of construction logic.

The companion drone is from spidertron prototype, rendering only "head" with classic equipment grid.
In the code is created a full stack of "special" construction drones at trunk position 21, then they are dispathed as invisible masked behind the laser beam.
When their work is done, they should be removed by mining them into trunk position 21 and then clearing whole stack

This worked fine in 1.1 but now in 2.0 there must be more than the new alert - also some logic preventing the bot to be marked as not busy and mined back

I have also noticed, when drone mines some entitiy, put it in trunk and ends stucked, it is capable to transfer the mined item into my inventory if I came nearby the drone.

Also notied, that disabling construction robots with shortcut will clean the robots and unstuck the drone

Not sure if something of this is new for you or can help you to figure it

I found another workaround for it by using "Super Personal Roboport" in the grid from Editor Extensions mod. But now there's another error because get_blueprint_entities() is not part of LuaControl anymore.

I'd love an update to this. Also I think it'd be fine if they couldn't attack. Just having construction companions is great enough.

I would also like an update to this mod, i saw it in a playthrough of nullius and it was exactly what i need, standard bots are way too slow.
