Unfortunately I'm not in a place where I can investigate this. And additionally, there's actually another bug that's far more annoying even when it does work (reach settings are copied from other inserters for some reason, so you can't shift copy settings from long inserters to short ones, etc.)
Honestly, I would recommend just not using this mod at this time.
