Many mods allow for using gases as fuel, the only needed condition is a fuel value to it :) Care doing the honors and adding it?
Some rough math:
50 Biomethanol requires 5 wood -> 5 woods * 2 MJ = 10 MJ needed to get 50 Biomethanol.
Biomethanol fuel value should be 200 kj & 50% fuel pollution.

Sample KS Power fuel values:
Crude oil: 1.9 MJ & 1000% fuel pollution
Heavy oil: 1.0 MJ & 300% fuel pollution
Light Oil: 1.5 MJ & 200% fuel pollution
Petroleum gas: 2.3 MJ & No fuel pollution penalty

Sample Adamo sulfur fuel value:
600 kj & 1200% fuel pollution
