I have ported this mod to support version 2.0

  • nothing crashes (for now)
  • tech tree contains all techs from this mod
  • surveilance center can be build

Can someone describe what exactly is the part around surveilance center doing and what should I test before going public with the port?
I have used this mod - but only the radar improvements part :)

edit: i was tricking the testing using editor extensions and messed up the oreder of creation vs research - when done it in right orger it works now
i am going to release it tonight

Kubiixx did you upload your port? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place but I don't see it on your profile.

No problem, glad to see it!

Damn, I wish I had checked back her sooner. I ported the mod as well... Well, thanks for doing it, anyway. I was thinking, is this even necessary, now that we have quality?

For those without the DLC it's still very useful. Otherwise quality does do effectively the same thing. Although it be through gambling rather than research.

This mod also does do some other things that aren't super well explained. The surveillance research unlocks visibility around all trains/vehicles and the 2nd tier surveillance unlocks visibility around all large power poles.

The ranges from this mod are quite a lot more than quality can achieve and its far easier to upgrade than quality as well.

Also, this mod increases "sector scanning" speed, while quality does not. So actually having a radar with high quality takes way too long to actually explore.
