i [solved] Loco battery capacity

Would it be possible to add an option to change the amount of batteries a loco can hold, or at least increase the capacity to 2 batteries to allow the mods trains to function with the LTN auto refuel?

Is LTN a mod or do you mean the base game refueling interrupt?

LTN (logistic train network) is a mod that basically makes trains function similar to logistic bots. The mod automatically sets a refuelling threshold which, for this mods trains, is [refuel if (battery pack) < 1 and > 0. This means the trains never refuel since both conditions cannot be true at once

unfortunately not since the mod generates a new refuel condition every time the train returns to the depot or a new train is added.

Actually, why does there have to be fuel in the train for it to be refueled in the first place? Doesn’t that mean that for any other train, if its fuel ever runs so low that it falls below the second threshold, it won’t ever be refueled? Does that second threshold ever make sense?

The > 0 part means you can have multiple trains using different fuels in the network and they will only go to a certain station that provides the fuel they use, id highly recommend you check out the mod if you're still active in the game since it was a game changer for me.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I’m not actively playing the game at the moment. I’m only maintaining my mods.

I have to admit that without having use LTN, I can’t figure out why that condition is necessary. If the mod generates a new refuel condition every time the train returns to the depot, can’t it generate a condition to send the train to the station that matches the fuel currently inside the train? Instead, it sounds like the mod generates a bunch of conditions to match all kinds of different fuels.

I guess the problem is that whether or not the fuel condition generation is designed well, now all mod users expect the mod to behave like that and it’s unlikely to be changed. Instead, all other mods have to work around their questionable decisions. :(

Can you try this version and check if changing the battery pack slots to 2 in the mod settings makes LTN usable for you?

You have to rename the download to match the current file name of this mod (probably BatteryElectricTrain_2.0.1.zip) in your game’s mod folder and then move the new file to the mod folder to replace the old version there. After restarting the game, the new setting should appear. Please excuse the passive-aggressive help tooltip for the new setting. ;)

Just tried it now, works perfectly thank you, I've halved the capacity multiplier to keep the balance.
