b The mod doesn’t work as expected

I was excited to use this mod, but it doesn’t seem to work properly.

So, I have a bunch of labs. Some of them lack agricultural science pack, but many of them have agricultural packs. They have 3 or 4 of these packs before the mod switches to a different tech that doesn’t require agricultural packs.

Even though many of my labs do have agricultural packs, the mod unexpectedly switches from asteroid productivity to mining productivity. Perhaps this is because some of the labs are lacking agricultural packs, but many of my labs do have these packs. This isn’t how I want the mod to work.

The mod also does not ever switch back to asteroid productivity even when I have a bunch of agricultural packs in my labs.

Could you please look into this? Perhaps there’s a setting I can change? Help would be much appreciated.

There's a setting "Threshold fraction of labs for science to be available" that's set to 80% by default, so if less than 80% of your labs have that then it switches to something without agricultural science. You could try lowering that to like 30% maybe.

You might also have labs on another planet that you're not using? Or leftover normal labs from before you set up the biolabs? If you do and those don't have agricultural science in them then the mod will switch away from ag science techs to use those labs.

If none of that works then you could upload a save file and I'll check.

Thanks for the response.

I tried to change ‘Treshhold fraction of labs for science to be “available”’ from 0.8 to 0.3. However, the setting’s value is not saved. I changed two other settings, and they were saved, but this particular setting is not.

Setting it to 0.3, it has been reset to 0.8 when I go back to the mod settings (map tab). ‘30’ is not supported, and given it is set to a float of 0.8, one would expect 0.3 to work. (There is no red error highlight when inputting 0.3.)

Weird. I tried it and noticed it doesn't get saved if you open the mod settings menu again before resuming the game. That seems to happen with every mod, and I think it's an engine bug, so I reported it https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?t=129792

Anyway, I think you can change the setting as long as you unpause the game / exit the menus after changing the number. That works when I try it, let me know if that still doesn't work

Im just wondering, for the threshold does it also consider quality sciences?
