Asteroid Mining

by Silari

Allows sending rockets into space to mine for asteroid bits, which can be refined into raw materials for infinite ores. Includes all 5 vanilla ores, plus Bob's Ores and Angel's support. Now with partial Krastorio 2 support. Advanced Mode (in beta) allows generating resource patches for mining using gathered materials, with rates based on the ore generation settings of the surface. Support for multiple surfaces is included, along with Space Exploration support.

b no materials received after rocket launch

doesnt appear to work with space age, i get no materials after rocket launch, not sure the new rocket silo can receive items, as there is a specific weight allowance, there is a new structure for receiving drop pods from orbit, no materials received anywhere from this mod after launch.

You need to ensure the option to send items to orbit automatically is checked. Otherwise it doesn't return anything. Seems to be a bug in the engine?

well when i send the rocket, its going to orbit, not the platform

It should work even when not autolaunching it, but the key point is that you put the probe into the rocket (if you alt-click on the item you are putting in, it should tell you that there is a rocket launch result in factoriopedia), and once it is launched up (into orbit, not to a platform), you should a few seconds later i.e 5-15s receive a delivery that goes to your cargo-pod station thing, where the orbital droppods from vanilla space age go too.

I'm getting nothing from launching coal asteroid mining modules on Fulgora, whether I launch them manually to "Orbit" or set them to launch automatically. There's no indication in-game that you need the landing pad, as the modules still say that their products go to the rocket silo, but even after I built the landing pad, I still get nothing.

as on my current save i get all the materials both leg and normal and have a circuit system to unload and process them that automatically keeps them topped up and have had absolutely no problems with it i do not know what your problem is. it works perfectly and exactly the way it should.

Turns out I had a different cargo landing pad on the same planet that I'd forgotten about, and I found the asteroid chunks there! xD
