Assembling machine 2 and 3 have a bit of a gap between their crafting speed, module slots and unlocked tech tier, so I bridged that gap for you.

Any reason the Assembling machine 2.5 does not craft science packs?
I was unable to recreate, which mods are you using? Perhaps something else breaks it.

Ask the author of Age of Production, I messed around a bit but nothing seemed to work.
How does the machine get the crafting categories? Manually or via script
Currently manual, I thought of the same thing as well so I made it deepcopy assembling machine 2 first but that did not work (current release is still manual though, I havent updated it as it didnt change anything)
Aop's code for the advanced assembling machine has a deepcopy code you could use and should fix any compat issues ^^

Problem was fixed, it should (hopefully) now craft science packs without a problem.
