Just so we're in the know, the legacy model seems to have a rather... "stiff" way of going up and down elevated rails. The entire base of the train looks like it is rebelling against physics.
Don't know if it's fixable, just wanted to let you know!
Sadly I don't own the space age DLC and you need the DLC to use the elevated rails. So for now there's no way I can test/fix the trains for elevated rails. :(
Yeah I had forgotten about the fact that factorio never goes on sale lol. I recently bought the DLC and I now see what the "stiffness" is all about.
Problem is I can't get high quality renders for the moving up/down as nobody has the original 3D model of old train other than the developers.
I'll still try to work out some photoshop magic to make it seem half-decent.
As for translations there are only 3 lines of text to translate but I've created a crowdin project if anyone wants to provide translations.
You can find the link in the mod's FAQ. (I've never used crowdin before so if there are any problems please do let me know.)
I've merged the translations into the mod with version 0.4.3. I've also acquired the original 3d model for the locomotive from the devs (classic wube W). So expect a high resolution update including slope changes sometime soon.
