Artillery Flares deprecated

Introduces different kind of flares which can be placed on the map to automate artillery targeting. [Mod does still work (I think), but the concept is flawed - you can't shoot accurately like this, there are too many factors involved]

Place flares around the map to automate artillery targeting.

This mod introduces three kinds of flares. You can place them on the map, and when an enemy is in their range, artillery targets will be automatically created around the flare. The flares will slowly burn out (see the green bar when you click on them) and the disappear automatically. (EDIT: as of version 1.0.1 flares burn forever)
The idea of this mod is to use artillery in the defense against attacking biter hordes. This works best when you use some sort of artillery ammunition with area damage, like for example my Mustard Gas Mod (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/MustardArtilleryShell).

Red flare

Place a red flare in the attack path of biters. When a biter steps into the radius (60 tiles) of the flare, four artillery targets are placed around the flare.

Blue flares

Place a blue flare and a light blue flare in the attack path of biters. When a biter steps into the radius (60 tiles) of the blue flare, four artillery targets are placed around the next light blue flare.

Pink flare

Place them anywhere. Artillery targets will be placed on all spawners in the radius (120 tiles) of the pink flare.
This is basically the same as the default automatic artillery targeting, but without the range limitation...

Known issues

  • Currently there is no check if a loaded artillery is in range, before a target is placed. Targets will disappear automatically after a while though (base game does that).
  • The radius is not visible on the map.
  • Pink flare might be a little OP

This is still kind of an aplha version. It works, but I'm not sure yet where to go with this... Let me know what you think!
