Abandoned Ruins - Updated (core)

by Keysivi

This mod doesn't do anything by itself. You need to install ruin-set mods or no ruin will be spawned. It then can spawn randomly choosen ruins in the world. These ruins are destroyed fragments of bases, forts, small oases, and more. (Now co-authored with roland77)

FAQ

How do I report a bug properly?

Bugs happens in any software, it is completely normal. So if you encounter an error in this mod, you have to completer a few things first to get your reported bug fixed quicker.:

  1. Update your mods, especially this one and related ruin-set mods. Nobody wants to support all released versions. That is very unproductive and to much time consuming.
  2. If a crash still happens and you know how to reproduce it? That's great! Your chances of that the report is being closed with [FIXED] has just increased a lot.
  3. Next please do always include the full error message, including version number and backtrace. It is then way easier to see if you have updated this mod (and depending mods).
  4. Also include a list of all relevant mods and their version numbers, like planets/moons (they are surfaces, too) and ruin-set for sure. But for a good chance, I won't install any further mods.
  5. Now click on "New Thread", noticed the selection box in front of the empty "Title" field currently saying "General"? Please change it to "Bugs" since you report one.
  6. Then for "Title" fill in a proper one. Bad ideas are: "Crash!", "I cannot continue playing!" or anything ambiguous. Good titles are the actual error message, like "ruinset_name='base' is not registered with this mod." Then the error message can be seen by all people upfront and hopefully less duplicate reports will occur.
  7. Then explain how you got there and some easy to reproduce/understandable steps, like this FAQ is.
  8. Include the error message between back-ticks (`), 3 above, 3 below the error message. Then the error message is properly formatted and it won't mess with markdown code around.

The first step is VERY important. If you missed that, please first update it over Factorio's mod manager.
