What if your assembling machine was programmable as well?
This is what this mod is doing. It adds a new entity to the game which let you connect nearby assembling machine to the circuit network. This new entity can set the recipe ("set filter" in game) of the assembling machine based on the input provided from the circuit network.
To use this new "Assembling machine connector" entity:
- Place it next to your assembling machine.
- Rotate it to target the assembling machine.
- Connect it to the circuit network.
- Change its parameters to "set filter" (set recipe).
Note, that when changing recipe, if the assembling machine had any waiting storage input or output, these would magically vanish from the game. So make sure to program correctly or the cost might be higher than expected.
For the moment, there is no way to select which recipe is going to be used if multiple are available.
