Zerwiport's Zoom


This mode is an overhaul of world display mechanics. The goal is to give more control and make it more productive. It defines two views: 'Character' and 'Remote'. One may switch between them and toggle their internal view modes with separate bindings.

i [Done] button to switch map view rendering to world rendering only

What i want to do:

Open map on my character, move view around, zoom, etc.; hit button to show world rendering at the location i moved to.

What i can do right now:

Use character button to enable map rendering and move around, zoom, but when i switch to world rendering it also switches back to my character. Not useful.

Use remote view button to enable world rendering, but it jumps to a different location. Not useful.

I understand. Need to play with it to find out what is convenient.

My current vision is that you use character button to walk and character map to find where I am and want to be and remote view to plan and build things with robots.

What I think could help in your case without breaking my vision is a button for centering remote view on character.

Or maybe switch to remote view in current position when Character map is open.

- if Character View Map is open toggling Remote View opens 'World' in position and zoom of it
- activating Character View opens Character mode with recent zoom
