Hey, I love playing with Yuoki as it's mostly self-contained, and I'm glad that you're still somewhat maintaining it. I'd love to see it updated for Space Age, hoping you'll manage it. Thanks in advance.

So..................

I spent some time looking at Yuoki Industries and trying to get it running this weekend.
Its going to take some time.. the mod was originally made YEARS before the 1.0 release and he didn't do too much to the mod after 1.0 except patching it to get it working again.

There was some considerable changes to how recipes work in 2.0 and it requires nearly all recipes in Yuoki to be updated/modified/redone.
Its going to take some time for me to get it working. But I'm powering thru it this weekend and this week. I miss the mod as well.

I have tried reaching out to YuokiTani the mod author to see if I can get contributor access to the listed mod so I can patch the existing one.
So far no response yet. The problem is, I cant patch that mod with this one like I normally do to get it running.. so ill have to do a direct fork of that mod to get it running again and release that here before I can get my mod changes working again.

The license for Yuoki Industries will let me fork it, but it would be nice to beable to carry the legacy of the original mod.
If I get no response from YuokiTani before I finish getting the mod working ill just release that version of it.

The question I now face is, if I release a fork of that mod.
Do I just get it working in its current state.. and continue to work on this mod for the fixes and qol changes etc?

OR

Do I merge this mod into the re-release of the core mod?
Honestly, this would be a lot of work but the best results long term.

But short answer..
Yes, 2.0 will be a thing. I even plan for SA support as well later on.

Thanks for answering promptly and thoroughly! I understand completely, I changed a smaller mod for my own use in SA (ultra fast inserters) and I saw how much work would this one take! (I don't know LUA or any kind of programming, mind you :) )

I also face a different issue that is waiting on a 3rd party..

I used bobslibrary for some simplicity in this fixes mod..
That mod isn't updated yet for 2.0 though I understand its currently being worked on.

But that means ill have to wait for that to be released to update this fixes mod..
or go thru it and rip out all the use of that mod and re do things without it.

Small update..

Spent around 14hrs so far going thru and trying to refactor all the old code for Yuoki Industries..
Finally got the game to launch with the mod loaded.. but LOTS of work to do..
There was considerable changes to how machines are defined and the new knowledge system in 2.0 makes a utter mess of the disconnected naming of recipes vs items that YuokiTani had used in their mod.. I also some reason have a bunch of "ghost" machines which appear to place and work.. but are completely invisible.

SO.. lots to do before its publicly testable.
But its coming along and fun news.. Wube did an interesting job making the Quality mod.. it auto-applies to lots of stuff in Yuoki Industries even without me setting anything to do so.
So look forward to that as well.. :)

Yuoki Industries for Factorio 2.0 has been released..
I will likely merge this mod into that eventually..
But I released it as it was with 2.0 changes, I need to work on the Engines addon now and get that running before I can merge this mod.
