b Mining vehicles with batteries refuse fuel

The mining vehicles (currently using mk5) refuse to accept fuel while a battery is placed in its grid. The only time it does not occur is when other grid items are not fully charged.

Also a side note: the overdrive motor doesn't work on the miners

As of the last version I tested with, AAI Programmable Vehicles causes all car-prototype vehicles (not just AAI's own) to preferentially pull energy from batteries before the vehicle's primary burner to refill their energy buffer if batteries are non-empty. This behavior is not well-documented, but it is there even without my patch.

I may have to have a closer look at the miners, since they're extraordinarily complicated as vehicles go. Originally they were implemented as a composite entity, a car and a mining-drill loosely bound together with control scripting; now I think they're much more heavily scripted. I can certainly see why you'd want to stuff movement bonus into them though, I don't know if a Miner Mk5 could catch Angel's Crawler MCV. :D I wonder - do they recognize the acceleration bonus from fuel type if no batteries are installed?
