This is a cross-compatibility patch to support Bob's Vehicle Equipment in other modded vehicles.

AAI vehicles all gain the ability to mount vehicle equipment, with varying grid sizes according to the vehicle's tier and role. Most are treated as armoured tanks of various tiers; the Flame Tumbler is deemed a Mk2 armoured performance car, with a unique 8x4 equipment grid.

All aircraft gain the ability to mount vehicle equipment - even the cargo plane is granted an 8x2 grid, enough for a fighting chance to dash through a hot zone. Equipment designed for personal power armour will no longer work in them, and equipment specifically intended for ground vehicles, such as Bob's boost motor, are also incompatible. The aircraft afterburner has been buffed to bring it closer in line with Bob's other movement equipment. The aircraft-specific shield is disabled in favour of Bob's line of vehicle shields. The gunship and flying fortress are deemed armoured, while the jet and cargo plane are not.

There is already some preexisting synergy between these mods. AAI Programmable Vehicles appears to add fuel-electric hybrid capability to gridded vehicles, so installing a generator and batteries in a vehicle's grid can provide an alternative source of motive power. Note: AAIPV will preferentially consume battery power and ignore fuel stored in general cargo until batteries are completely drained! AAI also knows that Aircraft's cargo plane is in fact a cargo hauling vehicle. Aircraft is aware of Bob's materials and uses higher grade materials in its recipes. AAIPV's segmentation of multi-weapon vehicles into single-weapon variants seems to befuddle Aircraft's own adaptation to the presence of Bob's warfare and intermediates (confused yet?), leading to some counter-intuitive results like the rocket-launching gunship requiring submachine guns to craft when it lacks the ability to do anything with bullets, while the bullet-shooting gunship omits rocket launchers correctly yet requires several rifles in place of a submachine gun.

Courtesy of the Rule of Cool raised to the Incendiary Exponent, if you have both AAI and Aircraft mods installed, aircraft afterburners may be installed on the Flame Tumbler. However, please be advised that you do so at your own risk; while you can cut a path through dense forest or a huge biter base with sheer kinetic energy, you can just as easily cut a path through your own facility or your hapless teammates. If I calculate correctly, that thing already sports 885 horsepower before you start bolting on aftermarket accessories!
