The mod severs redundant connections when applied to a grid network. While it does not separate a network into different graphs, it still turns squares into plus-symbols.
I would prefer that it maintains/creates the full grid layout, for the sake of aesthetics and making sure an errant Spitter spit doesn't screw some distant part of my power grid.

Disconnected networks are now preserved on left-click (the old "merge
everything" behavior is on Shift + left-click).
Grid layouts made of chained wires (square → plus-symbol case) are
detected as parallelogram patterns, not collapsed to MST. If your grid
spans larger than the default 128-tile detection window, raise "Max grid
size" in Mod settings → Per player.
