Not sure if your product supports version 2.0 of mirroring and flipping?
For factories that want to have a symmetrical layout

I will look into that. But frankly, I'm not confident that this is possible. As far as I know, flipping is a hard coded mechanic. Not even the normal pumpjack supports it. And there aren't any graphics for this. And you can't just flip the graphics, because the shadows wouldn't fit. I'm also considering a mirrored variant as a separate entity, but I would still need new graphics for this, plus my brain scream "nooo" to this idea :)

If anyone with Factorio modding experience might have an idea how to do this, your input would be very welcome.

BTW: If you are playing 2.0/space age, I don't think you need pumps on this. with the new fluid system, you only need them in really really long pipe setups.

Assuming I had the graphics, I could put them in and re-defined the fluid box. The problematic part is that the entity prototype must support flipping mechanics. This is not something you can mod-in. This seems to be hard-coded into the game. Some building just can't be flipped. 2.0 allows that for refineries and chemical plants now. Yes. But that is possible, because the devs can change whatever they need to, code-wise, for the prototypes used for chemical plants etc. I can only work with the given API. Under the hood the water pumpjack is an offshore pump. You can't flip an offshore pump, because the prototype doesn't seem to support it. And again, the normal (crude oil) pumpjack can't be flipped either. And because of that there aren't any fitting graphics yet.

It is possible to create 4 views of the object and rotate to each view with the R key. This means that the 'flipping' feature is not really needed.
This is how the offshore pump is shown in 4 directions. (Built into the 'Base' code of Factorio.)

You can already rotate, just like the (crude oil) pumpjack.

BTW: there is an interesting change in the release note of 2.0.13:

"[space-age] Offshore pump speed increases with quality."

This indirectly affects the water pumpjack as well. If you create higher quality variants, you might need just 1 pump, and the lack of flipping might not even be an issue anymore.

No, I did not. It was changed though, from 240 to 300. So actually the opposite.
