Having looked around the mod portal, there's a handful of different space science recipe tweaks I like, but none of them are my platonic ideal:

For 10 science packs (instead of 5):
Made in Centrifuge
15 second craft
2 Iron plates
1 Ice
1 Carbon
1 Uranium-235 (returned 80% of the time, lossy catalyst)

The u235 consumption (1 rocket launch for 1000 science) is the rate mentioned in FFF #381, and the doubled yield is to compensate for centrifuges being slower and having fewer module slots than assembler 3s.

I know it's a lot to ask, but would you consider making this recipe possible through mod settings, or perhaps releasing a fork that uses this recipe?
Totally understandable if you don't feel like doing either :)

I agree that the yield is too low in the late game. I don't have an issue with a return chance, i can give that a go. the other thing i was thinking was using the empty fuel cells as a potential way to increase that rocket capcity and have the emptying of those fuel cells happen in space.

Would that be a cool idea?

That would definitely be an interesting take, though I definitely like big kovarex setups being required, and launching fuel cells would effectively be launching 1 u235 per rocket instead of 20.
Also, I ended up experimenting with forking the mod myself and did manage to get it to work correctly as a chance-based catalyst :)
