can we get an update?

Well, you see, I started a complete rewrite of the mod 2 years ago. Designed a nice UI (at least much nicer than it is now), even shared it with a guy on reddit who approved it, but then I got burned out and never played factorio again. The 80% finished new version of the mod still sits on my hard drive.
I could just update the current version of the mod to 2.0... but... the current published version is horrible. I feel like I need to finish the new version first.

Maybe I'll finish the remaining 20% in the next month and release a new version for 2.0 (and maybe even with native integration with the Space Age DLC, but I'll probably have to buy the DLC for that, and I'm not sure I want to spend money on a game I don't play anymore).

But if I don't finish it in the next month, then due to some real life problems I won't have time for the mod for the next six months (maybe then I'll just update the current horrible version to 2.0).

I hope things settle down for you soon, and whenever you're ready to work on it again, I'd definitely be excited to try out the new version. But no pressure man... real life comes first! In the meantime, even just updating the current version to 2.0 would be awesome if you ever find the time.

I was really missing this mod when setting up my solar arrays so I spent a few hours and fixed the code to work with the updated functions in 2.0. I didn't add any functionality except it may check quality properly because it required me to use it but not sure. tl;dr It's a crude update to 2.0 but it does work in the meantime. @Kaktusbot Hey, if you're worried your efforts might go to waste and really want it off your plate, perhaps you could push it to GitHub with a separate branch so others can fork and mutate it? I'm sure whoever ends up doing so would credit you as the original author, and make sure your efforts are recognized AND not in vain.

So... I updated solar-calc to factorio 2.0. Unfortunately I decided to cut the new features I originally planned for it when I started a rewrite, like:
1. Showing the amount of added panels/accums after pressing a balance/adjust button.
2. Not only being able to calculate the amount of panels/accumulators, but also being able to set 'blocks' of panels/accumulators, e.g. from a blueprint, and calculate a needed amount of such 'blocks'.

@Xevion, I thought about making my code public on github, but... my code is such a mess, no one will understand it unless I make some comments about it's internal structure. So maybe after some refactoring I'll make it public.
