No only then. When you turn Bee Queen into any type of Worker Bees (a recipe for incubator where 1 Bee Queen combined with ore) there is a 2% chance to get not one, but two Larvae back. So you just kick-start initial production and number of Larvae in your system will grow over time
Definitely not, just kick start production with that 10 starting bee queens and you're done secured. Besides, if you feel need in real trees at any point you could download my greenhouse mod. There is a handy "grenade" that plants real tree on landing
