This mod adds a keybind that, instead of zooming out, keeps your existing zoom and position when opening the map. By default this is bound to <tab> and overrides the default keybind so <m> still has the default behavior; rebind "Open remote view with current viewport" to customize this.

Planned? features

I considered ways to automatically enter remote view, for example dragging on the ground or clicking on an out-of-reach-entity, but it was kind of clunky and I don't know if anyone actually wants that? Let me know in the discussions if you think that would be a good idea.
