I just scrolled through mods when doing research for a new playthrough.
I find this idea quity fun, but what about only allowing to craft the "newest" science pack. (so crafting red gets disabled when you research green)
Then you have to manage the spoilage timing, which can be influenced by something like quality (like higher quality spoils slower).
This sounds evil, but fun at the same time :D
