Research queue


Allows players to queue research, view research by required science packs, and automatically queue prerequisites for desired tech. Special thanks to Chrisgbk for 0.16 update.

b I'm aware of 'current_research' nil value bug, would appreciate help fixing

I'm sorta stumped. I never really understood the GUI in the first place, and I don't know enough about lua to figure out how to check for a nil value when calling the current research function.

I looked into it; this appears to be a base game bug ( https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=50223 ). Completing an infinite research fails to fire the on_research_finished event, so the queue doesn't get updated and the next research doesn't get started. It will apparently be fixed in 0.15.24.
