g Make products more readable?

First, excellent mod.

Trying to use it practically, I've found it may be more readable to provide products of recycling recipes in decimal form (instead of needing to add notes of 50% or 25% chance at additional item). This way it is easier to use the production results in aggregate / for planning production flows, as the player would be able to just see for a given input this is the aggregate output they would receive over many cycles, and without needing to consult the tooltip and do additional math. The tooltip can then simply state that actual product returns per cycle will be within the whole number min/max above/below the reported decimal value.

Hope this helps,
Allyn

Unfortunately, I have no control over how factoriopedia displays the data, as it reads it directly from the recipe. Thus the only way to change the display is to change the probability distribution, and the point of this mod is to give information to the user, not change the gameplay mechanics.

It's easy to calculate the expected value though, for example in the screenshot on the mod page it lists roboports as giving 11-12 iron gear wheels, and the tooltip says that there's a "25% chance of an extra product", so the expected/average value of iron gear wheels is simply 11.25.

I've updated the description of the mod to explain the expected value more, hopefully it helps (or makes it worse if you're not at maths)
