b Rocket silo doesn't allow modules

Title. Is this intended? You can put the old modules but they have no effect as always

Hi!

I thought to leave the original modules' items and recipes intact to not mess up the normal balance of the game. But I did notice that most machines in the game don't use module categories but module effects to filter stuff. So if I messed with the categories on machines it might be not that mod compatible.

But I just had the idea to turn the vanilla modules into items that don't count as modules. That way I don't mess with the categories AND they don't clutter your UI.

In the meanwhile, you can just ignore the old modules and use the rainbow modules in the silo to get module effects
:D

PS: The change to old modules so they don't have any effect is optional. You can turn their effects back on in the mod settings menu! I made it like that so everyone can play how they most enjoy the game :)

I understand, so you can't put rainbow modules in the rocket silo because of api limitations. I guess I'll make a few of the vanilla ones just for it

Hey!

Most likely one of the planet mods that changes rocket silo recipes and therefore the module conditions, I assume. I'll test who is the culprit (I prefer to speak in english so everyone else understands the conversation)

Found it https://mods.factorio.com/mod/module-category-defaults

I would like to help with compatibility but it seems the mod crashes completely since its last update so for now I'll just disable it. Thanks for helping anyways

Thanks!

I should be able to make it compatible easily I think ( I think just table.insert(ModuleCategoryDefaults.default_categories, 'my-module-category') should suffice). I'll keep it in mind for next update
