I use the "Deadlock's Stacking Beltboxes & Compact Loaders (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/deadlock-beltboxes-loaders)" resource compression module: I get compressed metal that is successfully loaded in the Bulk Rail Loader, but in a freight car this material is not unloaded.
The module has the option "load everything, only plates, only ore", now it is worth "load everything", but this does not help.

just in case, I’ll add:
compressed ore, loaded successfully.

Make sure you are changing the setting from inside the game: Esc -> Settings-> Mod Settings
Changes made from the main menu only affect new games.
