Having to wait for items to spoil in 1-3 hrs just to get started feels terrible. I have most settings on more and Technologies, Recipes, Recipe unlocks and Items ticked but no matter what settings I chose it seems some VERY important things are locked behind spoliage from fish and it ususally has a spoil time of 1-3hrs. Is this intended or just some REALLY bad luck choosing different seeds? Been trying to get a game of this on a multiplayer server with a couple of buddies but everyone just gets bored because the fun random stuff is locked behind spoilage.

What sort of items are you talking about? If it's post-nauvis you could use things that spoil faster, too.

Hello, I have the same issue, there are some recepies that require spoilage while on Nauvis, where the only way to get it is through fish.
Namely it's:
- Iron gear
- offshore pump
- steam engine
- stone furnace

Over 2 seeds we had:
1: Power poles were gotten from coal spoiling after 1hr which you could only get by collecting fish in the water
2: Furnace from 2hr spoilage result from collecting fish in water

There were more but I can't remember them from the top of my head. Setting item randomization to 100% should give you a world like this though

I've tried 8 different seeds, and of the 4 without softlocks, all had spoilage required in essential recipes on Nauvis, with only 1 of them actually making it possible to get said spoilage on Nauvis, which was by waiting for 5 hours for fish to spoil... It is most definitely not fixed.

So, I removed it from item randomization, checked that it was indeed removed from it, but then failed to notice it was being used by recipe randomization too. Hopefully the recent version fixes all of that.
