g Rocket Launch Time Bug

Hello! Awesome mod, having a blast in my run so far, but I ran into a pretty big issue when I got to launching the rocket:

My seed blessed me with +156% launch time, which didn't sound that bad but the rocket simply refused to launch. It was stuck in the "launching rocket" state, and after waiting many in-game days it was clear the rocket was never going to depart. Side note - it was trying to deliver a space platform starter pack, which I had to cheat in as suggested in the other discussion thread since creating it was locked behind launching it into space.

Anyways, to get around the issue, I unzipped the mod, found the rocket_silo_launch_time function, and commented out lines 1207-1219, so it would still generate the factor but not use it, keeping PRNG state consistent. When I reloaded the game the rocket launch was successful!

More info on my settings: I enabled max randomness, 100% items, ultimate chaos / everything else set to "more" / bias set to default

Very interesting. I wonder why that would happen? Anyways, you can also enable/disable individual randomizations with the overrides box. For example, for this you'd put in "!rocket_silo_launch_time" to say specifically not to do rocket_silo_launch_time (the ! is the NOT modifier).

thanks for the fix exfret, got the same problem with the not launching rocket. btw got 790% launchtime, the rocket prepare animation alone takes over a minute to end.

settings: everything on max/worst, i did not randomize icons, sound, GUI, and names.

rocketsilo aside, a great mod so far, the rocketsilo itself is an amalgamation of ridiculous random garbage far worse of anything fulgora throws at you on a normal run, its great
the only thing i wish for would be that the ingredient amounts would be more randomized...in my run most recipes needs only 1 to 3 items of one ingredient rarely more but maybe i was jsut lucky with me randomseed

The number of ingredients is actually not randomized! I can change this though, good to know that's something you're looking for.

if you can read this exfret, there is one problem i encountered that will softlock me.
To produce Holmium Solution i need Carbonic asteroid chunk which only drops from Fulgorite Pieces or Fulgorite.
i con only gather that up by hand or with bots its sadly not possible to automate this. would like to stop Carbonic asteroid chunk from being randomized like with "!rocket_silo_launch_time" but dont know the comand for it even if it would change some of the randomized items/recipes i would at least try it.
if you hace a better workaround for that im all ears, thanks.

There's no way to only stop randomizing fulgorite. That would reset the whole tree. However, you can add on a simple mod that will just modify the way you get carbonic asteroid chunks or the way you produce holmium solution. Maybe just add carbonic asteroid chunks to the scrap recycling products list. Codegreen's recipe tweaker might be able to do this if it's updated yet, or I could create a simple mod that does this.

Also, can you double check that you don't get it from scrap recycling?

sorry for the late answer, aaaaand sorry but yes i get it from fulgora scrap recycling....
heatingtower is my "scrap" on fulgora (thanks to randomization) and i get a 1% chance for Carbonic asteroid chunk, it is basically the holmium ore in a normal run. Im sorry for the confusion. It was just so confusing because either heating tower or Carbonic asteroid chunk con only be "gathered" but all it showed where just some ruins on fulgora and i didnt notice that the heatingtowers where the ressource there, sorry.
But holy scrap that will get bonkers if i have to scrap heatingtowers .

on a side note my long handed inserter is made out of ironplate and i get ironplate only from trees. luckily for me long handed inserters are not used in any other recipe so i dont need to farm the whole map for trees either<.<

Yeah it's stet up so whatever you get from trees is not used in many recipes, but there still is some issue with whether some things should still be allowed in trees like belts. It seems mostly fine now though.
