i Offset on layers and option to change color and one error on older version

Hi

it looks like the textures are always on the same spot when another layer is added with increased pullution, that looks like the same texture gets less and less transparent
My suggestion is, if you could give every layer a little offset when they are added, so the screen looks more filled instead of looking like the "smoky" parts of the base texture are getting less transparent and leaving ugly gaps while doing so

Another suggestion would be giving us the option to choose between a darker cloud of smog, like a dark grey or black cloud.

...One could add on that idea with adding more color; the mod checks the entities which are polluting the air and the color is adjusted accordingly, meaning nuclear stuff have a little greenish tint, coal stuff more dark grey, assemblers(or similar) have the default grey, etc..(ofcourse thats way more work and more ups heavy, I'm just brainstorming)

else the mod looks good, and it runs pretty well, my base is a giant cloud

I also got an error yesterday, but that was with an older version and I couldn't really reproduce it since I didnt have time.

"Die Mod pollution visuals (0.2.3) hat einen Fehler verursacht, der nicht behoben werden kann.
Bitte informiere den Autor der Mod über diesen Fehler.

Error while running event pollution-visuals::on_tick (ID 0)
pollution-visuals/control.lua:125: attempt to index local 'surface' (a nil value)
stack traceback:
pollution-visuals/control.lua:125: in function 'check_all_chunks'

I'll post if anything happens again.

hello bloodymight,

i think having an offset might be difficult but i could also experiment with multiple types of textures that might fill in those little spots. or maybe a entirely different texture that doesn't generate those spots.

i also like the idea of adding more color and having it a configurable setting.
as for multiple colors this would be difficult. I'd not only have to check what the origin of the pollution is but i also have to figure out a way to have it be a nice gradient from one pollution source to another. not saying it can't be done, but i can't really think of a good way to implement that as of now.

as for that error, it should be fixed with the most recent version: 0.2.6

I've also taken a little break from working on this mod. so i don't think I'll be adding any new features any time soon.
but i will still reply in the discussion tabs and I'll still fix bugs when they are reported.
