Pollution Reclamation

Pollution Reclamation is a Factorio 2.1 mod that turns pollution into something you manage rather than only minimise: capture it from the air as a fluid, vent it somewhere else, or trap it in filters.

For those players who are comparing the various pollution mods, here is a summary of the "pollution cycle":
In a Pollution Condenser, air pollution + water --> polluted water.
In an assembler (L2 or 3), polluted water + filter --> used filter + water
In a chem plant, used filter + solvent -->filter

The water from the assembler can be fed back to the Condenser, but there seems to be a small loss and so will need occasional replenishment.
The filter has a 20% chance of being destroyed before becoming a used filter.

The Condenser, with three speed modules, can remove about 46.5 pollution units/min. Quality and beacons should improve that.

The total setup is fine for surrounding your base although you might need a ton of these things to keep up with the total pollution output of a megabase. But you'll have a bit of difficulty using these to control pollution at your ore patches, as you will have to continuously supply water, solvent and filters. You'd need long stretches of piping and belts, or a dedicated supply train setup with chests, tanks and pumps.

Note that my Summary is based on version 2.0 of this mod.

The mod itself works very well, no errors (while using Factorio 2.1.20). The info in game (the Wiki) is nice, and it's very pleasing to see (with Debug) the chunk pollution count decrease albeit slowly. It's not so pleasing to see the filters slowly disappear though. 8-(

Good summary, thank you for that :-) I do plan on adding more tiers of pollution management here, it's just a bit of a slow grind while I think through the different ways I can approach higher tiers. I'm trying to avoid a simple "more advanced, better stats" approach and actually wanting to flesh out different functionality, and tradeoffs as a part of the mod.
