It's more of a distraction issue for me personally. That mod makes them faster, i just need vanilla inserters that insert without 'inserting' so they don't distract me. Thank you
Upon further inspection it appears that it's not possible to gain performance, the mod above just uses transparent sprites. You have a good point about it being potentially distracting, I'll add it with a different default.
