Maybe there is some other mod that adds a "fishcoal" recipe if this mod is also enabled... I'm not sure. This mod only adds the fish entities and items, it does not add any recipes on its own.
the only thing I can think of is one of the mods turned the fish resource in water into fishcoal? I am running a few different mods to make fish actually useful one of them is fish slurry so I can make oil be solely fuel for the factory. Maybe thats whats doing it though?
