Melee Weapons


Rip and tear those biters with your own two hands! Adds 8 types of melee weapons that can be made from iron, steel, and uranium, and 2 laser swords. Also adds 4 arms that you craft and use to hold and swing the melee weapons with.

+DMG technologies affect the damage of biters (Rampant) and other creatures (AI vehicles and pY creatures) in addition to melee weapons. Not sure if it was supposed to work this way (:

Didn't test on clean game and noticed this "feature" accidently checking bonus list.

It's not a bug, it's a feature! ssshhhh

But, yes, the melee damage research will also improve any units with melee damage type within your force. It does not improve the enemy.

Oh, got it. Then the Rampant made something wrong with biteys thus they considered my force now XD

Anyways, thx for mod - helps a lot to survive pre-bullet period of pY set (:

Rampant did nothing wrong, if you don't have Rampant then the game will simply list vanilla biters there instead of Rampant biters. It's just a fact that they have melee damage category (even if they actually deal elemental damage), so they're included in the melee damage upgrade. Again, only biters in your force are upgraded, not enemy biters. Would be nice if there's a mod that lets you have an army of biters at your command, huh?
