Splicer9, one method to "save presets" is to create a new world, save it, then copy the "map exchange string" to a text file. that stores all the map settings from ore frequency, terrain, pollution and biter behaviour, and seed. to create a new world, paste that string into the map-exchange string box in the first window of the new map window, then simply select "map preview" and click regenerate, which will choose a new seed (but keeping all other settings intact)
