Loup's Guide to the Galaxy (Planet Modpack)


A curated collection of good mod planets for Space Age, known to be high quality, work well together, and be reasonably balanced. This modpack condenses information from many players of what to (avoid) downloading. This modpack's incompatibilities are planets that are either WIP, AI slop, incomplete, abandoned, comically unbalanced, don't work, or some combination of the above. This mod has no code. Lignumis is optional because it is partially an overhaul.

i Move Muluna to optional

Muluna adds easily 10h+ of mandatory, very tedious playtime by completely overhauling the base space science pack.

While I fully agree the base game's space science pack is far too trivial, Muluna tries to rework this in an extremely reductive manner: by forcing the player to transition to planetary logistics before Nauvis can even get some baseline QOL improvements in the form of the Foundry and EM Plant.

This means that new players would be forced to rework the Nauvis material pipeline an extra time just to accommodate the significantly increased flow of LDS, blue chips, and Rocket Fuel.

I wouldn't mind this personally if the transition was gradual or straightforward, but processing oil on Muluna is absurd to say the least, which is singularly responsible for most of the complexity.

In summary, I submit that Muluna should be moved to optional to avoid new player friction.
